Donald (Don) Tucker began his career in 1991 as an Assistant District Attorney for the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office. He served in this capacity for 5 years trying cases involving violent felonies, drug possession/sales and also, served as the Grand Jury Bureau Chief. He left the District Attorneys Office in 1996 to join Nationwide Insurance Company as its New York Claims Counsel. While progressing through many roles within the company, Don provided legal advice and counsel to claims, underwriting, sales agents and company executives learning all aspects of how an insurance company operates. He handled cases involving automobile wrecks, dog bites, premises liability, commercial liability, Labor Law, intentional torts, fire claims, theft claims, homeowner’s claims, insurance bad faith and coverage disputes. Before leaving Nationwide in 2014, Don was promoted to Assistant General Counsel serving as the company’s Regulatory Counsel in New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Maine.
His insurance industry experience has provided Don with a unique perspective on how insurance adjusters view cases and prepare them for defense and/or trial. Since leaving Nationwide, Don has handled personal injury cases for many clients with exceptional results.
In 2018, Don and Joe decided to use their knowledge and experience against the insurance companies to represent the needs of those injured by the negligence of their policyholders. In addition to their personal injury clients, the firm currently represents hundreds of victims around the country in litigation involving injury caused by defective pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The firm has established close relationships with top law firms in the United States enabling them to create a strategic and nationalized approach to each individual case. Don is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. He is a graduate of Buffalo State College where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, cum laude. Don earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Buffalo School of Law in 1991.
